The 1950 edition of "The Boxcar Children", was basically an almost identical reissue of the 1942 edition with only minor revisions. Nothing much to speak of, other than the fact that the cover was changed from the (1942) orange pictorial cover with the moon and the silhouette of the children... to a reddish-brown colored pictorial cover with a boxcar on it along with their dog. The story-line is the same. This 1950 edition is still extremely collectible!!! These older, true vintage editions of, "The Boxcar Children" are becoming very hard to find. Especially in nice condition!
Another important fact to note, is that the 1950 edition, (like the 1942 edition), was still published by Scott Foresman and Company!!!
